How to Create Collection in Postman?

Postman provides various methods to create a collection some of which are given below.

Method 1

To add a collection under workspace follow the below steps.

Step 1: First Select the workspace in which you want to create the collection.

Step 2: Now Click on the Create Collection Button. (as shown in Figure)

(Please note that this option will be available only when there is no collection in any workspace)


Step 3: As soon as you click on the Create Collection button a collection will be created with the default name "New Collection".

You can change the collection name accordingly.




Method 2 

Step 1: Click on the New button. (as shown in fig)


Step 2: Now Click on the option Collection (as shown in fig)


Step 3: as soon as you click on the collection option a collection will be created with the default name "New Collection ".

You can change the collection name accordingly.



How to delete Collection in Postman?

To delete the collection in Postman just Follow the below Steps.

Step 1: Hover the mouse on the collection that you want to delete 

Step 2: Click on three dots ... (as shown in fig)



Step 3: Now Scroll the options and Click on the Delete option.



Step 4: Now Click on the Delete button from the confirmation dialog box.

As soon as you click on the delete button collection will be deleted from the workspace.



How to Rename Collection in Postman?

To rename any collection in Postman follow the below steps.

Step 1: First Select the collection that you want to rename.

Step 2: Click on the option .(as shown in the figure)


Step 3: Now Change the collection name accordingly.

As soon as you change the name and click outside of the text box collection name will update automatically.
