In this tutorial, we will learn how to write deactivate functionality Test Cases? We will also learn about positive test scenarios and Negative test scenarios.

What are The Test Scenarios for Deatictivate Functionality?

Here !!! Some of the important test cases for the deactivation functionality are given below...

• Verify whether that deactivate button is clickable or not.

• Check whether the icon name showing or not when the user hovers the mouse on the deactivate icon (if the icon is there).

• Check whether the system displays the pre-confirmation message with Ok and Cancel in the dialog box or not when the user clicks on the button.

• Verify the deactivation Functionality when the user clicks on the Yes button from the dialogue box.

• Verify whether the confirmation message showing or not when deactivating successfully.

• Verify that all deactivation conditions are working as per requirement or not. (user can not deactivate in X condition Y condition etc)

• Verify whether the confirmation shows as per requirement or not.

• Check that when the user clicks on NO From the dialog box.

• Check whether the deactivate record status (if there is one) gets changed or not.

• Check the record when the user deactivates it successfully. (it shows in the table/grid or is deleted from the grid or table).

• Check that the user is able to perform any action on the deactivated record.
